Watson-class Ex-RNLI lifeboat, Cutter rig

The term Watson-class lifeboat refers to several wooden lifeboat classes operated by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) around the coasts of the United Kingdom and Ireland between 1888 and 1991. The boats had hulls that conformed to the basic design laid down by RNLI naval architect George Lennox Watson.
The current owner bought the yacht 1977 and have circumnavigated the 3 south caps. Currently they sail from Guatemala to Grenada.

Watson-Klasse Ex-RNLI Rettungsboot , Kutterrigg

Der Begriff Watson-Klasse Rettungsboot bezieht sich auf mehrere Holz Klassen Rettungsboot durch die Lifeboat Institution Royal National betrieben (RNLI) um die Küsten des Vereinigten Königreichs und Irland zwischen 1888 und 1991. Die Boote Rümpfe hatten, die über die Grundkonstruktion angepasst von RNLI festgelegt Marinearchitekten George Lennox Watson.
Der jetzige Besitzer kaufte die Yacht 1977 und haben die drei Süd-Kappen umsegelt. Aktuell sind sie von Guatemala nach Grenada unterwegs.
